Katelin + Brandon Fall Family Portraits in the Country | Elko Family Photographer

Katelin is my husband’s sister, so it is always extra fun to work with her and her family. They have the sweetest family with lots of littles and I love being their aunt. Usually the nearly-three-year-old loves me, but she was tired and a little grumpy that day. At the end of the shoot though, we did a sister’s portrait. Katelin was acting silly behind me and everybody started laughing, including the tired toddler.

The baby was just able to sit up on her own so it was such a perfect time for their family portraits! The five year old has always been a ham since she first modeled for me. The seven year old had just lost his front teeth so he was trying to smile while hiding his teeth and it just didn’t work out very well. He ended up laughing which provided the perfect image to showcase his personality. The older two girls are such amazing helpers! In fact, I’m hoping I can convince them to become my permanent assistants instead of just assisting me on my sessions with their family.

This session was windy, but everybody was extremely cooperative. From the first image to the last was less than twenty minutes (we won’t include the time we spent chatting afterwards though…😉). This is why I don’t set a time limit on most of my sessions. Sometimes you only need fifteen minutes to get a stunning gallery, but other times you need 2 hours or more. You will always walk away with stunning images that your whole family will love because we will be flexible on the time.
